The Sunset is an independently owned hotel located in Vancouver’s West End. Originally built in 1972, the property has welcomed travelers for decades under several names and now enters its next chapter as The Sunset—locally managed, thoughtfully refreshed, and designed for comfortable, independent stays.
Ownership & Operations
The Sunset is family-owned and independently operated. While the property was previously marketed under the Sonder brand, Sonder no longer operates this hotel. All guest services, reservations, and day-to-day operations are now handled directly by The Sunset team.
Reservations & Booking Security
All reservations made through our official website are processed through our property management system and confirmed immediately by email. Payments, confirmations, and cancellations are handled directly by The Sunset according to the policies shown at the time of booking.
